Editor of the quarterly magazine News From Native California – which focuses specifically on the contemporary cultures, events and issues of California Native Americans. Director of the California Indian Publishing Department at Heyday. Responsible for acquiring and managing grant funding, donor support, and other contributions for the department.

Selected to compile an extensive multimedia report focusing on health. The report aired on FNX | First Nations Experience television network and was featured on the channel’s website.

Responsible for maintaining social networking sites as well as content on the  website for the First Nations Experience | FNX television network. Co-producer of the on-air news, culture and entertainment segment “FNX NOW” as well as the promotional series “FNX Asks You.” Viewership approximately 90,000 homes nationwide.

Performed scheduling, research, tape logging and other support to staff reporters for their on-air stories. Programming audience is about 30 million nationwide.

Wrote, edited, gathered audio, and produced news stories for North Gate Radio, the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism’s radio news show. The program was broadcast weekly on KALX-FM. Station audience is about 50,000.

Health and environment reporter for Oakland North, the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism’s online daily news publication. Produced content in print, video, audio and photography formats.

Worked as a community reporter for The Desert Sun newspaper. Wrote news stories for the Palm Springs Sun, a weekly publication, as well as for the daily newspaper The Desert Sun. Also served as the breaking news reporter on Saturdays. Circulation is about 65,000.

Wrote general assignment news stories – under the direction of the health and environment editor – as a summer intern for the Ventura County Star newspaper, a daily publication with a circulation of about 90,000.

Reported national news on Fridays for KRFH-AM, Humboldt State University’s student radio station. The station has a local audience of about 7,000.

Performed clerical duties including: filing, creating invoices, labeling, and preparing mailings. Helped coordinate volunteer accommodations during the station’s pledge drive.
